Where will we go and what will we do?
Here's a little summary!

 


This itinerary will allow you to discover

 the inland areas of Sardinia.

     the Gennargentu mountains, 

the forests of Barbagia,

   the vineyards of Mandrolisai,

        the small mountain villages.

 

A sea of green interrupted here and there by pleasant villages, inhabited by friendly and hardworking people.

Shepherding, craftsmanship, grape harvests, chestnut and hazelnut gathering, mark the passage of time.

The main element of this excursion is that you will have a responsible approach to special places and the people who live there.

 

The lunch break will allow you to witness the preparation of typical dishes, make cheese or sweets, depending on availability.

A tasting menu will ensure that you can sample local food and wine.

From the blue of the sea to the green of Barbagia

A thrilling encounter with a secular generation of artisans, who with their hands reproduce and bring to life an ancestral tradition. Close your eyes, reopen them to find ourselves at the beginning of the 1900s.

From the coast, the itinerary leads directly into the interior of Sardinia: the Barbagia, a rugged and hidden territory, only at first appearance, friendly and hospitable if you get to know it and try to discover it.

Wonderful example of industrial archaeology, a water mill that powers a mechanism for felting wool, or rather orbace.

With our backs to the mountain, the itinerary now takes us to a new and interesting territory: The Mandrolisai, a stunning hilly region, fertile and famous for its wine.

Discovering the ingenious blend: three grapes, one soil, man, and time.
We walk in the vineyard, talk with the winemaker, and taste the Mandrolisai D.O.C. wine.

The geographical center of Sardinia, the omphalos of the ancient world. The site hosts 200 perdas fittas (menhirs), adored and feared by ancient civilizations 5000 years ago.

Maurizio goes out early in the morning and heads to fields and woods to gather raw materials for his dyes. The genuine resilience of a young man who has transformed past practices into experience for the future.
